Feature note: Follow the current controls and privacy notice shown inside the tool. Keep an original copy of important files.

What is OCR?

OCR software analyses the shapes in an image and attempts to recognise letters, numbers and words. It is useful for printed notices, forms, book pages and scanned documents. OCR is not a perfect copy process: low resolution, unusual fonts, shadows, handwriting and mixed scripts can cause recognition errors.

Prepare an image for better recognition

Accuracy tip: A clear, high-resolution printed page is usually easier to recognise than a blurred photo or handwriting. Always proofread names, dates, amounts and official identifiers.

Extract text with KAGZI

  1. Open KAGZI Image Text Editor.
  2. Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP image from your device.
  3. Select Hindi + English, English or Hindi from the OCR language control.
  4. Choose Detect Text and wait for the recognition process.
  5. Review the recognised text list and select an item to inspect or edit it.
  6. Correct mistakes, then use the available export control for the edited image.

The first OCR run may load the recognition library and language data from a public CDN. Keep your browser tab open until processing finishes.

What OCR may get wrong

Similar characters

Some letters and digits look alike, especially in small or low-quality images.

Matras and punctuation

Hindi vowel marks, conjuncts and punctuation may need manual correction.

Columns and tables

Reading order can differ from the original page layout.

Handwriting

Handwritten text may be recognised less reliably than clear printed text.

Privacy and responsible use

KAGZI's image editor processes the selected image in your browser. Its OCR library and language data may be loaded from a public CDN when needed. Use images you own or are authorised to process. Do not rely on OCR output alone for legal, financial, medical or official decisions; compare it with the original image.

फोटो से हिंदी और English टेक्स्ट कैसे निकालें?

Does OCR guarantee a perfect transcription?

No. OCR can confuse similar characters, punctuation, matras, digits and reading order. Verify important content against the source image.
