Tip: For forms or official submissions, check the receiving website's accepted file type, dimensions and size limit. Converting an image to PDF does not automatically make it compliant.

JPG, JPEG and PNG: what's the difference?

JPG / JPEG

These are names for the same common photo format. JPG files are often smaller because they use lossy compression.

PNG

PNG is useful for screenshots, graphics and sharp text. It can produce larger source files than JPG.

PDF

A PDF can package multiple image pages into one document, making it convenient to share or print.

When is an images-to-PDF converter useful?

Image-to-PDF conversion does not turn words in a photo into selectable text. For searchable text, an OCR step may be required. If image quality is low, the resulting PDF will not automatically restore missing detail.

Privacy and browser processing

KAGZI describes the PDF tools on its homepage as local browser-processing utilities. Files selected in those tools are processed in the browser and are not uploaded to KAGZI by those local tools. Some supporting libraries may be loaded from public CDNs. Review the workspace's privacy notice and use a trusted device for sensitive records.
