Splitting usually means dividing a document into smaller files or page groups. Extracting means selecting specific pages and saving those pages as a new PDF. The right choice depends on whether you need every page divided or only a few pages copied into a separate file.
Use a start page and end page when you need a continuous section, such as pages 5–12.
Use page selection when you need only particular pages, such as a form and its supporting page.
Example: If the source has 24 pages and you need pages 6 through 9, enter 6 as the start and 9 as the end. Confirm that the downloaded PDF contains exactly those four pages.
The PDF editor describes local browser processing: the selected PDF is processed on your device rather than uploaded to KAGZI by this editor. Public libraries may load from a CDN. Before sharing an extracted file, check for personal information, hidden pages, signatures and any page that should not be disclosed.
